2024: A Milestone for Balta Marine!
The Gain Orange Sailing Team took 1st place in the IRC 2 class during the Naval Forces Cup, held from July 13-18. This prestigious offshore race, covering 555 nautical miles from Çengelköy to Göcek, featured its longest and most challenging course in the event’s 53-year history.
For the first time, Balta Marine documented this extraordinary journey, and the film will soon be available on the Gain digital platform—Turkey’s first maritime documentary.
Team and Spirit
Many of our team members are professionals outside of sailing, but they showed great resilience and discipline. Despite the challenges, the team triumphed in one of the toughest sailing races in Turkey.
The Naval Forces Cup and Award Ceremony
Sponsored by Akpa and organized by the Turkish Offshore Racing Club, the race concluded with an award ceremony at the Göcek Yacht Club. Our team won the IRC 2 Championship after racing for 84 hours, displaying teamwork and dedication day and night.
